Terms of Service
Last updated: July 20, 2026
Welcome to Play Hand and Foot (playhandandfoot.com). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and multiplayer Hand and Foot card game, including optional video chat (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Play Hand and Foot is an online multiplayer card game. One player hosts a table; others join with a room code. The server deals cards, tracks turns, and enforces game rules. Optional video chat lets players at the same table see and hear each other in the browser. The Service is for entertainment among people who choose to play together.
This is not a gambling product. There is no real-money wagering, no cash prizes from us, and no casino play. Card-game scores and “points” are for the game only.
2. Eligibility
You must be able to form a binding contract in your place of residence. If you are under the age of majority, you may use the Service only with a parent or guardian’s permission and supervision as required by local law. The Service is not directed to children under 13.
3. Accounts and identity
You provide a display name and email to join or host games. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for activity under your email on devices you control. Keep verification codes confidential. We may refuse, suspend, or terminate access if we reasonably believe there is abuse, fraud, or a Terms violation.
4. Free play and subscriptions
- Free trial — new players may play a limited number of free games (currently three), including a limited free video allowance as described on the site. Limits may change; the site and in-app messaging show the current offer.
- Paid plans — after free limits, continued unlimited play and video require a subscription. Current prices (for example monthly or annual) are shown on the pricing page and at checkout.
- Billing — payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you also agree to Stripe’s applicable terms for payment processing. Taxes may apply where required.
- Renewal and cancel — subscriptions renew until canceled. You can cancel according to the options we provide (or via Stripe customer portal if offered). Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not automatically refund the current paid period unless required by law or we state otherwise.
- Changes — we may change prices or plan features with reasonable notice for future billing periods.
Guests join a table with a room code. Access to create games, use video, or continue after free limits depends on account status and the rules we publish in the product. We may grant complimentary access in limited cases at our discretion; that does not create an ongoing obligation.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Harass, abuse, threaten, or harm other players (including via video or chat).
- Share unlawful, hateful, or sexually explicit content through video or the Service.
- Attempt to cheat, exploit bugs, reverse engineer, overload, or disrupt the Service.
- Scrape, automate, or access non-public APIs in ways we do not authorize.
- Impersonate others or misrepresent affiliation with Play Hand and Foot.
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
Hosts are responsible for who they invite. You can leave a table or turn off camera and microphone at any time.
6. Game rules and house options
Default and optional house rules are described in our help materials. Hosts may enable supported variations before a game starts. The server’s enforcement of rules is final for that table. We may fix bugs or adjust rule implementation; scores and outcomes from past games are not guaranteed to be recalculated.
7. Video chat
Video is optional. By enabling camera or microphone you grant other participants at your table permission to receive that media for the purpose of playing together. Do not record or redistribute others’ video or audio without their consent where that would violate law or privacy. We do not guarantee uninterrupted video quality; connectivity depends on your network and device.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including software, design, branding, and content we provide, is owned by us or our licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial entertainment as allowed by these Terms. You may not copy, resell, or commercially exploit the Service without permission.
“Hand and Foot” is a traditional card game. Our product name and site branding refer to our online implementation.
9. Availability and changes
We aim for reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features (including free limits, video, or the entire Service) with or without notice, subject to applicable law and any prepaid subscription rights.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that games will be uninterrupted or that defects will be corrected immediately.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $50, IF YOU have not paid us. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the fullest extent allowed.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of someone else’s rights, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.
13. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of how we operate the Service.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the operator primarily does business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country require otherwise. Courts in that jurisdiction will have venue for disputes, subject to those protections.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms by posting a new version on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you (for example via the site). Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
